Intro (feat. Isabella Ibanez)
– The Story of a Year (A Musical About the Ibanez Family and Friends)
I am Isabella Ibáñez.
Eduardo, the rockstar of the house: light, laughter, hope at full volume.
And we have a furry daughter named Snowflake.
The five humans and the dog—we are migrants.
Losing houses… and building a home anyway.
So walk with us, listening month by month.
If you’re listening to this, the year 2025 is over.
What you’re about to hear is a musical about a family—my family—trying to move forward while the world challenges us, or even rescues us.
I am Isabella Ibáñez.
I wasn’t born with that name.
I chose it.
Because there comes a point when you either stay in your old skin… or you create a new one.
Pablo, my husband, and I have three children.
Miguel, who carries history in his head like a library, and whose openness sometimes makes him an easy target in a world that loves easy targets.
Eduardo, the rockstar of the house: light, laughter, hope at full volume.
Reckless but unforgettable.
Berlin, the sweetest, also the most dramatic, the most organized—the one who breaks your heart with a simple, true sentence.
And we have a furry daughter named Snowflake.
Because of course.
In a story like this, someone has to know everything is safe before the humans can believe it.
The five humans and the dog—we are migrants.
Migrating isn’t easy, and we, even though we’ve been very fortunate, want to somehow convey what millions of people who decide to leave their country come to feel.
Losing houses… and building a home anyway.
Being afraid… and deciding not to raise children inside that fear.
Meeting ordinary kindness—the kind that doesn’t look for cameras or fame.
This is a story about staying together.
These twelve songs are our last twelve months.
So walk with us, listening month by month.
Because in the end, the story—your story—is not only what happened to you, or what you survived, or what you enjoyed or felt.
The story is what you choose to remember and carry on your shoulders—sometimes as a burden, and other times as wings.

For The First Time (January)
– The Story of a Year (A Musical About the Ibanez Family and Friends)
